First, I want to say how happy I am to have you here! It feels incredible to bring this passion project into existence and knowing that all of you share the same interests of loving horror and also wanting to dissect and analyze it. Here are some important things to know about how the course will run:

• You can complete the course at your own pace. The course has 7 modules that can be completed over the course of 7 weeks but you have the option of completing each module weekly or at whatever pace is best for you.
• You will have options for readings, movies and documentary viewings and assignments. You can share your thoughts about all of these things on the lesson's comment page. Remember - Keep it respectful! We don't have to agree, that wouldn't make for a good analysis course, but we do want to make sure we are respectful.
• I have provided some basics in terms of movie options, articles, etc. but please know that what I provided is not a comprehensive list and only a guide. The best part of an online course is the community aspect so if you notice that I have not included something, that's okay and part of the plan! In this community, you can share your suggestions, recommendations and thoughts as well.
• For the final assignment you will create your own script for a horror movie reflecting a current social issue! You can share your script on the discussion board. I am excited to see what you come up with!
